Each year 100,000 attend the State Farm Bureau
Federation's Hawaii State Farm Fair. This year, all of the rice at the Farm Fair was Diamond G. On Saturday,
June 29, Fair-goers entered to win the Diamond G Musubi Making Contest to create animal-shaped
musubis. Judges Karen Keawehawaii and Mark Okumura, pastry chef from Alan Wong's restaurant,
choose the winners. Chef Okumura prepared musubi animal samples for ideas. Prizes included a Panasonic CD player,
a "Walkman", rice cooker, a $150 grocery gift certificate, Diamond G caps, T-shirts and
Frisbee-like flyers and plenty of Diamond G!
