 | Now in it's fifth year, the annual Sam Choy Aloha Festivals Poke Recipe Contest drew nearly 2,000 entries from Western Canada, the Mainland U.S., Hawaii and the South Pacific. From these, 78 entries were selected as finalists, prepared and judged at the Grand Ballroom of the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel. After the judging, Big Island residents were able to taste the various entries. In little less than two hours, the Poke disappeared amidst the mmmm's and ahhh's of the crowd. |
